Howdy!!!
You know, the last heli-company I ever called was M.A... It was sometime in the mid 90's and I was asking a question about a problem I was having... The guy on the other end was less than pleasant... I personally have never talked, nor had the desire to talk to a manufacturer since... I just figure it out on my own, or recently, I ask NICELY for help on this forum...
The fact that you are having a problem with one of the simplest, least difficult to make work right models, around, tells me that you are either a rank beginner, or not to bright, which is further supported by your very reactionary post... There are lots of people who will help if you ask NICELY...
Then again, maybe you are trolling for a reaction..

heli who?

you know i live 5 min. away from them and have to order something from LA or out of state, that's sad. sometime you just want something simple but can't get it because you have to have a FRICKING PARTS # and they do treat you like a bagger. i wanted to talk to Peter, but he was not there, so the guy over the counter ( not saying any name, but it start with R) just give me the hardest time and yet he have the book under the counter. funny thing is i have spent over $3K with Peter and 1 month later, its over.
take care and good luck

This is not in response to Century but about customer service in general. These guys are just making a living. They are not passsionate about the hobby. They are just there to "help" some guy fix his toy. I encountered very poor customer service when I called Futaba or Ace about a 9C question. The guy was just plain rude. I hate being treated as if I am an idiot.
I worked for a major construction machinery manufacturer and we had the same problems with our own customer service people. Our distributors hated us. These guys were rude and in some cases not very helpful to the end users. It was a product of hourly employees being in a dead end job with no hope for advancement doing the same thing day in and day out.
I feel it is the atmosphere that the manufacturer or distributor breeds within the organization that lends itself to a self destructive end. It takes a very focused Distributor/Manufacturer to drill into its organization the importance of Customer Service. I do not fly Hirobo, but it seems they are very customer oriented. And it seems this atmostphere is coming from the top down, and probably Jeff Green too, some one who is passionate about the hobby.

<<...simplest, least difficult to make work right models...>>

Well, Jeff, I'll agree with you. But when some of the components aren't up to snuff, building it right and setting it up correctly can make no difference at all.

I don't know what this guy's problem is, and I agree that he has taken the absolute wrong approach to solving it, but I'm about to have to drop $40+ on some decent bearings to try to make my Hawk Sport work. Six critical bearings on it have either puked or are very close to it; after two and a half tanks.

I certainly didn't expect Timken or NTN bearings for $160, but two and a half tanks?????

I'm not whining or raising hell about it because nobody twisted my arm to make me purchase this machine. I knew full well the risks of what I might get for $160. And while I'm sure Dennis would send me replacement bearings if I asked for them, why putz around with the same bottom quality?

But you can rest assured that I'm none too happy about it. And while I'm no guru, by any means, I have built a machine or two...

So, ya might stop & think before questioning someone's intelligence. I've been pissed enough at one particular vendor to show my ass publicly the way this guy has.

That doesn't make it right, but it sure is real...

Ironic isn't it? You're upset cause they don't treat you how you want to be treated, and you figure it's because you're not face to face with them. Yet here you are bad mouthing them when you're not face to face with them.

All joking aside, it really just never helps to get pissed off. Has never done me any good on trying to get help or service. I hate to say it, but at times like this you just gotta smile and ask again.

Well, that's what I would do anyways.

Well, I DO need help. I've been trying to give up these stupid helicopters for a couple of years now... planks are much less stressful.

But I just cannot do it...

The funny part about century (Heliworld) is when you call to order Fury parts they want to sell you a Predator It is like talking to a telemarketer who wants to send you a new credit card. I never order from them anymore so it is no longer a problem.
