| at altitude (5000 ft) about 40 degrees farenheit, powermax will not vaporize and stay a liquid causing a lower pressure in the lines. this in turn leads a failed start. using propane at this temp will cause to have a higher line pressure and will actually have a cleaner burn start without the pop and will also give you a quick flame out the exhaust which is an added bonus!
