Kit donation

Mark, you have shown what a true gentleman you are by even responding to him.He has the audacity to ask you what you have done, but you know you have seen this before, the guy who says I have a pile of experience yet when some poor soul asks for their help they get"dont bother me Im busy".Mark dont buy the kit yourself let us have a chance to help.If the manufacturers would rather spend thousands on advertising then get it for free, thats there loss. I know I can speak for many of us here that you are a credit to our hobby and because of your efforts it will flourish.

i do not care if you have contest or not.
i just think that if you are going to have a contest, you should have any potential prize lined up in advance, or be willing to foot the bill yourself and not come begging for a mfgr to supply you after the fact.
i don't remember calling into question what you may or may not have done for the hobby, just your methods of doing whatever you do.
and i certainly have not resorted to calling any one names or issuing other types of flameing remarks.
now you and you followers claim to be above that sorta of thing, but...........................
who is doing it?

or be willing to foot the bill yourself

Where have you been genius! Mark has stated a couple of times that he will be doing just that. Pretty stand up individual if you ask me.
As a new member here, I think you chose a rather poor first post, but you are absolutely entitled to your opinion.
While I'll defend your right to sound like an idiot, I'll also defend Mark's to operate this site and anything that pertains to it in any manner he sees fit.

Personally, I'd be more than willing to donate a couple bucks to help Mark defray the cost of the bird. If you're interested in donations Mark, just email me an address and I'll chip in!
I think the contest was an excellent idea, and appluade you for standing by it even without a donor.....WAY TO GO MARK!!!!!!

Nutswinger, have you lost it?

It obviously appears that you registered on the board to make a unintelligent statement and not to talk about helicopters, but to cause a war. Please, go away and don't come back, Thats all I have to say to you so BYE BYE!!!!

BTW, Mark I would happily donate money to you for the helicopter, no prob buddy.

Mystery helicopter kit

I got my first call today about the needed donation and things look promising. With any luck I will announce Monday afternoon the mystery helicopter kit that will be sent to volkul.

This contest sure has created a fuss. I have to toughen up a bit to take all the flak and not get depressed.

Check this link out. A members name being misused and spammed.

I don't mean to drag this on either Mark - Everything is fine just ignore the off the wall comments. BTW I did a search of "xceIlogo" on RCO and there are no other posts under that name.... makes you wonder.

it's very simple

Mark has an expense (the kit giveaway).

Mark has a resource to sell (the advertising space on this site).

He's looking for an advertiser to help him cover the costs of doing business.

The timing of the request for the kit donation suggests that the planning could have been better, but that's all. And even that criticism is pretty worthless...

When the giveaway started, Mark had few visitors, so there was no point in asking advertisers to commit to anything. Today, he has visitors, which means he has advertising space, so today it's finally worth asking advertisers if they're interested in taking part. So he did, in order to find an advertiser to buy space on his site to help him offset the cost of running the site. Nobody is being forced to do anything, it's just an invitation to a business transaction.

This is the American way.

Communism failed... you got a better idea?

Wow, after following that link to RCO it's becomming very clear to me that someone has serious issues that are far beyond the scope of any heli forum- whom ever you are, get a life already. -------BladeRunner.
BTW Mark, just blow off this kind of crap, we know you are a stand-up guy and a gentelman to boot!

Hey Mark -- You do a great job with this website!! I have learned a great deal from this forum that would have COST a great deal of money to find out on my own!! And I thank you for that! I am willing to send $20 toward this gentlemans Prize!! I Challenge others to do the same!! Its only fair since Mark does all the work and WE get all the information and help to get our projects off the ground!
Mark, please email your address to me so I can get a check off to you!
Thanks for everything!
Dr.Tim
