Since it's now winter, I won't be doing too much flying. I have a couple 4000 NIMH packs that I use in my helicopter. How do you guys store them over the winter season. Do you leave them on a trickle charge, just leave them and cycle them ever so often, or do you discharge the batteries? Do you do the same for your transmitter packs as well? TIA

It is not recommended to leave ANY battery on trickle charge for extended periods of time. To put the battery in the most inert state, I would discharge the battery, and leave it discharged. It is not as much of an issue with the NiMH though, but I would definately not recommend leaving it on trickle charge.

Cycling the pack every now and then doesn't hurt though.
