Toledo

Looking forward to it. Toledo is always a lot of fun.

On a dog sled team, if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes.

Toledo Show

Went for my first time on Friday. We got there around 9:00 and it was already packed. Something really needs to be done about parking also. Almost no place to park. The show was awesome. Like a kid in a candy store. The F18 on display was something to see. Alot of cool stuff. Although not much heli stuff mostly airplane, it was cool. I only wish I had brought more money

Saturday...

Saturday was packed! I couldn't believe the line length for buying tickets, but it moved suprisingly fast. It was absolutely wall-to-wall bodies. If you were patient, there were great deals to be had. A guy was selling .210 carbon rod for $.50 each!!!!

I sent the wife and kids to COSI (sort of a Science-Learning center). There was lots of parking and it was just a few blocks away.
When I was ready to leave, the wife and kids were too!

It was fun to see a few of the top-dogs mingling. (Yes, they do wear pants like the rest of us...). Learned a few things about fiberglass bagging & construction. I was suprised that there weren't more Fury nuts hanging around the Miniature booth.

I might actually go back next year!

Toledo on Friday

I went to the Toledo show this year on friday as I will from now on, if at all possible, as it was a wonderful experience. We got in right away ,could get up to the vendors quickly , and most of all we just had space to move about freely. IT WAS GREAT!!!! If i couldn`t get the time off from work to go on fri. next year , I probably won`t go , it was that big of a difference. Dibbs

Friday and Saturday

Went for the first time and thought it was nice. I won't go again for another 5 years or so. Parking in the building was $7 and it was $7 to get in so you've blown $14 before you get in the door. That was the only $$ part I didn't care for.

The new Century Bell 47G really caught my eye. I think as I get into this heli stuff I'm going to lean more towards scale then 3D. I rode in a 47G when I was a kid so I'd like to have one now. It's a nice looking heli on Hawk Frames and is a 50 size.

But back to Toledo. I had a great time. Put 907 miles on my Blazer but it was worth it. Like I say, 5 years and I'll go for the auction.
