I hate to see you wait over an hour for any reply

I am sure you will get some soon. I have a 60, but my friend Shaggy has a 50. I can tell you about his radio gear, but specifically what else are you looking for as far as setup?

He is using a Futuba 8UHPs Tx, standard futaba servos that come with the Heli package, a 9253 servo matched to a 401 gyro. We both use 4 cell battery packs from Helihut...I think they are @ 2400mah, and Gem 2000.

He hasn't had any problems and you may have seen his posts of going on to his 2nd gallon, while I am trying to fix my clutch.

I do not remember his pitch settings...I have an idea, but I'll let him and/or others post their actuals.

Raptor 50

My R50 is scheduled to be here tomorrow, but this is how I am planning on setting it up initially:

Thunder Tiger 50 Engine with CY Muscle Pipe on CP30

Servos - I am contemplating the setups right now. The first is to take my existing flight pack out of my R60 w/TT70 and putting it in to the R50. This would put the 5925 and 45 digitals that I ordered in to the R60. This would make my R90 and R60 have the same flight pack to keep the feel between the machines similar and reduce the investement in to the R50.

Cyclics - Futaba 9202's
Collective - Airtronics 94257 on collective
GY401/9253 Combo
Futaba 3001 on Throttle
4.8v Battery pack

or

Cyclics - Hitech 5925's
Collective - 5945
GY401/9253 Combo
Futaba 3001 on throttle
4.8v large mah battery pack


The only other item that I am planning on putting on my 50 is a set of 600mm v-blades and possibly quicker paddles, but I am going to start of with the stock ones.

I also plan on setting the pitches at +11 0 -11.

I am hoping that the CY pipe will help to keep over speeding minimal on the machine. Does anyone have any info on using the CY pipe on the 50. I origianlly had it on my 70, but have heard that the 50's like this pipe better.

SAB 600 and 92mm tail baldes

Throttle settings only go to 90% at full stick
-11,0,+11, Drag race setup -4,0,+13

I used the CY MP on my OS 50 in a Fury 50 all last summer and it was great. I was using SAB 640's and they took +10-10. Does not need a govenor. This combo will be way to much for anything less than wide cord 600 like the V-Blades. Set up the throttle to 90% or less at full stick. Use 15% and add extra oil to detune the engine as it will deliver to much HP for the head and blades.
