Well I joined the club and bought a a Furry Expert this morning! I have allways wanted an xcell but always got talked into something else. I cant wait to get it and start building! I think I am going to put the 91 in it. Any hints or tips on building it? I bought it from D&M Electronics, the guys there were great. They answered all the questions I had. I would highly recomend them. It should be here saturday, I will let ya' know how it goes ,

Yep

David at D&M Electronics has allready set the kit up with the correct gear ratio. I actually will have it friday, I paid for overnight delivery, I couldn't wait. David thanks for the heads up on the gear ratio.

crutch

Hey Nick let me know when you want to fire that puppy up and I'll hold your crutches for you. By the way my single stick is doing pretty good on ebay so I ordered my new 9C yesterday with an extra receiver. Should be here on Monday. It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas.

Hopefully I will be able to go to the field next weekend. The Fury wont be flying yet but I would bring it to show it off along with my scars.

av8er,

There were(are?) several H-lists. Dunno about current events, I got off when the post count neared 100 a day. And that is to your in-box.

I just do the X-Cell List now, but I'm getting about tired of all the freakin spam coming in; particularly the porno crap. I NEVER had spam until I joined that list... :-(

Yeah, it is quite aggravating. Being basically computer-ignorant, I don't have any knowledge on how to defeat it.

But my brother, who is a main-frame programmer for Albermarle Chemical and into the internet big-time, told me that a lot of people make money by infiltrating newsgroups, snaring e-mail addresses, and providing same to these spammers. Unless I'm mistaken, there's not much one can do about that from his home PC.

I wish there was a program you could use in a reply to these bastards that would nuke their equipment into next week.

I used to be on several other "lists", and never got the first bit of spam until I signed on to the Yahoo Groups X-Cell List (at least, I think it is Yahoo). Could it (the spam) possibly becoming in through that? I wouldn't know the difference; all I know is that crap is in my in-box every day.

Unless someone has a suggestion for blocking all of this crap, I think I'm going to unsubscribe; and change my e-mail addy if it takes that.

Spam

Thanks for the heads up. All my preferences were set to yes, too. I also had a "filter" that would automatically direct any message with XXX in it to my inbox. Makes me want to dump Yahoo, for sure I'm going to protest that filter. I never asked for or wanted any such thing. One has to wonder about their so called "privacy policy", and how private things really are there. Steve.
