I may be wrong.. but nothing I think.. I think it's simply a different name for basically the same thing.

Same thing, different names.

If you've ever seen a REAL metronome (usually found sitting atop a piano), you know that the metronome's arm swings back and forth like the tail boom does in the maneuver we're talking about.

And they sound like this: "tick tock tick tock..."

I call it metronome because the first time I heard anyone call it anything at all, that was the word he used. Lots of people call it tick-tock, probably for the very same reason.

soooo...

I was under the impression that a TIC-TOC it the heli doing something like elevator back and forth/ collective back and forth where a metronome is the heli doing a tail slide while having the tail swing back and forth (left/right rudder) on the way down....am i wrong?
