Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > Heat Blanket. Were does it go?

I am building a Turbine Cobra, and wondered were the heat blanket goes.
I suspect it goes on the inside of the fusealage, close to the exhaust, is it simply glued on, and which side of the blanket faces out.
I have also seen someone wrapping the exhaust in the blanket as well, does this help?
Thanks

Heat Blanket

Peter the heat blanket is glued (siliconed) to the fuse with the metal side up, place it in all areas near the exhaust pipe and the rear of the turbine. you can also wrap the pipe with it and i suggest that you tie the blanket with wire.

is your pipe two walled or a single walled pipe? if it is single i suggest that you have someone make you a two or three wall pipe, a three walled pipe will be cool to the touch when the turbine is running.

Dont use the heat blanket that came with your cobra for the pipe ...

use this stuff ... Sandy recomended it to me , and it looks like it will hold up to the heat of the pipe better than regular blanket that Vario supplies .. and wrap it around with a wire like Optikaman suggested ...

click this link

your pipe can get as much as red hot ... if you want to see what happens to your blanket at those temps, ... take a blow torch to it ...

if you insulate the pipe well, you will have a lot cooler air inside your fuse ... which mean a longer lasting paint job, and longer lasting electronics ..
