Anyone have any advise on prepping a gasser for travel on airlines these days? I'm headed for Phoenix and want to take a heli but from what I've read here lately, gas powered devices are verbotten. I will take a raptor and cross my fingers but I'd rather show off my x-cell

Clean the entire fuel system, including the carb. You don't want even a hint of gas smell on it. Barrow a gas can from someone when you get there. Or just buy one and give it away before you come home.

Other than that it travels just like the rest of them.

Life's a journey, NOT a destination.

Coleman fuel.. Run the engine with coleman fuel for a bit to get rid of the gasoline smell.

from experiance. take the fuel tank off and if you have a header tank, also take it off. use anything to clean the engine because they will play the 50 million question game with you. i keep the fuel tanks in my carry on bag raped in a plastic bag. that way if they say i can't take it on the airplane i can just toss them, oh yea, buy extra gass tanks just in case that happens.. i travel alot and my addiction just has to go with me. i am currently in Egypt but didn't get to buing it here, it really sucks!!!!

Thanks for all the good advise. Unfortunately time contraints kept me from overhauling my tail gear box in time for my trip so I am taking one of my Raptors. But I look forward to taking the gasser next time.

I already run Coleman/Ozark Trail fuel so that is taken care of.

Thanks again.
