Hi Guys

Just fitted a GV1 to my Sceadu 50, as a starting point what sort of headspeeds do you have programmed in. Using OS50, 600mm blades.

Norm, Idle 1 and Idle 2 V curve.

Can't wait to try it out, what should I expect ??

Hey Lee!

I have the GV-1 on my Raptor 46 and I run 1600 in normal, 1800 in IdleUp1 and 1850 in IdleUp 2 and I'm running 600mm SAB blades with an 8.5/1 gear ratio. It runs great.

The Sceadu should be close to this as well. I did see a guy with a Sceadu 50 and a GV-1 and he ran everything at 1650. Seemed to fly very well and was very quiet. He wasn't doing any heavy 3D but his tight loops didn't load the engine at all, it was purring like a kitten.

BTW_ I have the H500 finished, just waiting on some decent weather to take her up.

GV-1

I think that was mine and the 1650 is fine. I plan to increase the rate 50 rpm per time till @ 1800. I am using the slightly slower Head speed because I am working on learning how to fly inverted and it seems a little more stable. The rolls are fine but the flips could be a little tighter. The higher head speed will help this. I have a mild shake that I need to work out before I go up on head speed. Love the Scaedu.

im a newbie, looking at the sceadu 30. the gv-1 would be great when i get to aerobatics and im looking for good headspeed, but would i benefit at all by getting one to begin with?

1600 rpm .......it would be the best for you, later on you can setup higher rpm for 3D.

The higher rpm the more touchy.
