I have a set of wood main blades that came with my Baron 20 that are not finished. There is not a slot for weight, nor any weight included, or any instructions beyond mounting the blades and balancing with tape. Do blades require weights? I checked the spanwise CG of the blades, and they are about 1/8" different. I still need to shave down the root of the blade to get the blade holders on. I have Ray's manual, and he said that all blades come preslotted for tip weight. Well, mine don't. I can do the covering and Ray's novice balance procedure just fine, but I don't know what to do about the weight situation. Any help would be great. Thanks.

So I shaved down the blades, and they are sanded, and have the blade grips installed. The CG is now about 1/16" different, and the blade weight is approximately the same. I still don't know what to do about weights though. Will it just not auto properly if I don't add weight? Or are there other good reasons to add it. Any help would be great. Thanks.
