is it ok to run 6 volts on the futaba gy 401/9253 servo combo,i read somewhere a guy toasted his servo by running a 5 cell battery.i ve got a new 401 coming and i run on 6 volts and i would hate to smoke it.
GY401Sorry, I was just reading from the GY401 Manual.
I would not run 6 volts either, but it says right there what I typed earlier. I am sure they would not rate it at +4 to +6VDC if it could not handle it.

the story that i read was this guy had a GY601 that he used on 6 volts and it didn't hurt the gyro but it toasted hie servo.but if the manual say's 4 to 6 volt then one would think it would handle it.but the problen is the servo.is there anyone using the combo on 6 volts out there.
Somebody at the feild flies 5 cell with a 401 and a 9253. I was amazed That face describes it. I run 4.8 because that is what things are made for.
