A good way to check the balance of your tail rotor is pull the boom and slip the belt back off the pulley, set blades to 0 pitch and then take your air compressor and blow air on the tail pitch control fork. Be careful because the blades will spin very fast. If it vibrates in your hand I don't need to tell you that you have a problem.

Tail Balance?

Sounds like an idea, can you shave with it?

You can also use your shop vac or Leaf blower and just spin the blades themselves. use the pitch rod to adjust for max. RPM. It will easily turn at "flight" RPM
