| mounting the servo on the boom would theoretically give you better gyro performance. if the servo is mounted on the frames, then any flexing between the boom and the frame would result in a slight movement of the control rod, and therefore the tail blades. this is probably only noticable if you're into fast backward flights, tailslides, and other maneuvers that require absolute gyro accuracy. if you don't do these kinds of things, then don't bother with mounting the servo on the boom.
for the pushrod, it is pretty easy to make your own CF pushrod. just cut the ends off your existing pushrod, and glue them into the ends of a CF rod of with an inner diameter that's close to the pushrod diameter. |
