it is real easy, .
first go to your local hardware store and but 1 1/8 by 3/8 rivit, yep spend about $.05, then you will need to stop by your hobby shop and spend another $1 for a 1/8 inch wheel collar.
now look at the gyro and rip it off. depending which model you have 100-110 will decide which pieces you need to keep. basically remove the mech gyro and the Z rods that connect it to the(ok now you guys are going to kill me, i forget what its called. brain laps) the u shapped piece that connects to the 2 rotor blades, you know the shaft goes through it. remove the rivit like collar thats in it now and replace with your new longer new rivit and put the wheel collar on the end and you are done. takes about 5-10 minutes. if you have the 100 you will have to modify the u shapped piece, you don't have Z rods you have straight shafts which go through it, just cut off the parts where the rods go through. if you have the 110 ot the 100+ ignore this last comment.

any questions

I spent the five bucks to get the Arlton Gyro eliminator pieces from LMH. I needed a tail boom anyway. I used a Helimax micro piezo. The first flight went fine for about 10 minutes then the gyro failed. I sent it to Helimax for repair and they sent me a new one. And that one has about 10 hours on it and still goin fine. It flys so much better with the piezo.

LMH Gyro

FWIW: I use a gyro on my LMH and I still have the Arlton gyro in place. I turn the gain down very low on the electronic gyro. I have two complete tail rotors (they are very easy to swap out) and I tried them back to back. One has the Artlon, one does not. Honestly, I can't tell the difference.
