Gasser Model RC Helicopters > X-Cell Gasser Tail Blade Question???

I recently aquired an X-Cell gasser, and I'm trying to find some tail blades for it. I grabed a set if Vigor CS tail blades, but the root thickness on the CS blades is 5mm and the X-Cell tail gripes are 8mm apart. Are you supposed to use spacers, washers, or what?

Yes

Spacers (washers) are used with thin root tail blades.......I can post a picture later IF my motherboard swap goes as planned.

my setup

I am running 105 nhp's on my gasser.....anything longer might overly stress the tail unit. I would suggest any blades in the 95-105 range. A well kept secret is the original fury plastic tail blades (nylon). They work very well on the 60 and up machines.....I actually have a set "just in case" I feed some dirt devils to my nhp's.....

Sorry for the delay in replying...

The tail blades that James is referring to are the clear (natural nylon-66) plastic ones that come with the Fury. They are lighter than the black or white ones and are the only of them that are safe to run on the non dampened tail (solid hub) because of their weight.

115-66 - 95 mm blades

115-68 -105 mm blades

be careful

with those clear plastic ones. I have 2 sets and both sets are warped. One set came that way new and the other came with a used heli I bought. I won't even use 'em

Those blades are designed that way! They are perfectly OK. If yours are actually warped though, my bad. If you look at them from one end to the other they will have a slight bow along them. This is fine and do not affect the way they fly.

Hope this helps!!
