Hello,
I feel silly having to ask this question, but...

OK, so I spent $30 on the nifty carbon fiber battery support plate (part #2782) to help reduce the stress on my battery packs. Now, how do I properly use it?

I see no means to attach it to the existing battery support "plate" within the frame. I'm using 14-cell packs if it matters. If I place the support plate such that it falls under the two battery tie down points then one pair of cells on each end of the pack are unsupported. Is that correct?

Thanks,
John

Support plate

My plate is attached half way into the frame with small double sided tape. The attachment rings will keep it and the battery in place. I phurchase an extra ring for the middle fastening point to help keep everything snug.

I did the same thing, attach the support plate half way in with double sided tape and a zip tie through the front battery rubber holes. I also made a little piece of carbon behind the battery support plate so the end of the battery has something to rest on. This keeps the tail end of the battery from bending down.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick
