| I know there is another thread out there that has beat the topic of the generator to death. After seeing how much a large 3000 nicad and the downlink batterie(s) can add in weight a reall reason exist why have them at all for the video equipment aside from the camera battery/ video battery in the camera. I am speaking of the gimbel system alone, downlink, and gyro(s) used.
Here is where I am going with this. My three position switch is used for the landing gear on the gimble. It could also be used to activate the generator when spooling up on the ground. One click there is video and downlink .position 1, and another click there is landing gear up. Of course the 9z does a wonderfull job of switch assighment so from that end it is covered. I wont go into the coils and voltages from the generator standpoint.
I know there is PROBABLLY a device that could use a servo or raw voltage like a Transitor in a darlinton pair that could activate the events in sequence with a N.C or NO contact needed and undo when landing etc.
Anyone have access or knowledge to sites or devices for this application? I know there are several electrical Engineers on RR who could also help out.
