e-Mikado Logo 400 500 600 > What to get ? Logo 10 or EOLO

Before sinking a $ 1,000 into a small electric (brushless, few upgrades)I want to make sure to make the right choice. I know the Logo 10 flies pretty well right out of the box. I also read a lot of good things about the EOLO which in my case for backyard flying might be a better choice (smaller), However I read some posts that the EOLO needs upgrades to fly smooth.

Has anybody got both machines and if so what is your opinion ??

I apologize, I don't have both yet... I'm ordering an Eolo within the next day or two though.... Basically for the home backyard fix as my backyard is really small...

I do own a Logo 10 though and let me tell you, this is one smooth ultra stable heli straight out of the box with ZERO upgrades. Of course I do have a bunch of goodies on mine but not because I needed them, I just got the bug, you know how that goes. I do not fly 3D yet though but I've heard of numerous people flying hard 3D out of the box and with no complaints. I do hover my Logo 10 around my backyard still but can't really do too much without risk of hitting something. I even hovered it in my small living room before, which I know is stupid

Id say if your backyard is pretty big, get the Logo 10, you will not be sorry, this is a fantastic bird! (you will have an absolute blast with it when you take it to the park!) If your backyard is pretty small, then consider the Eolo, I've heard lots of good things about it which is why I'm getting one but like you mentioned heard gripes about vibe problems. I heard that the metal head and the metal tail gear case plus the drive wire mod makes it super smooth but that is like $175 bucks ++ worth of upgrades!!

Thanks Astro30 for all the info.
I was tending towards the LOGO 10 anyway but you confirmed it.
Better get my check book ready.

Logo 10!

Hello,
Well, I don't have both either but I thought I would throw my 3 cents in (inflation, you know). Watch videos of both and decide for yourself which one is smoother and more stable (i.e. less twitchy). I think you will pretty quickly notice that the Logo 10 is a smoother heli than the Eolo and every bit as capable.

Get the Logo 10, you won't be disappointed!

This is a short video of my logo 10 in case you want something to see the performance. Video is a bit messed up, the first 44 seconds or so are blank. At the end, I trim a little bit too much grass when inverted (oops), but the few minutes of flight will show you it's a very capable machine.

I have both. I like the Eolo but I haven't cured the vibrations yet. Shortly after I put it together I got the call up for duty in the Middle East. I am currently in the Middle East and probably wont return until spring of 2004. The Logo has been great. I wish I could have brought it wih me. I brought my Hornet with me. The Hornet requires alot of tinkering but it has it's place. I bought it for flying indoors. The Logo only requires good pre-flight inspections as with all helicopters but once the Logo is set up it flys superbly.
My Logo setup is:
Hacker B50-13L
Schulze 18-46K
12 cell nicd (cp2400)
12 cell power tube(panasonic 3300)
I get 4min hovering on the nicd's. ( I can only nose-in hover at this time)
I usually get 6 min out of the power tube setup. My next battery setup will be the Thunder Power cells.
