Howdy....

Anyone know what the heck the 'dsc' jack on my new Futaba 149DP receiver is for? And WHY are there no instructions with this thing!

Thanks

DSC - Direct Servo Connection

It is to plug your Tx directly to your Rx without switching it on. ie at a contest where there is a Tx control you can leave your Tx module only and still fiddle with your heli via a chord

If your Tx instructions doesen't tell you about it can't do it (you would think!!!). The Futaba 9z is the only one with a DSC capability that is advitised. But i read a Ripmax catalog selling the DSC chord for the FF8 / 9z.

Does anyone know if the DSC works on the FF8 ?

It will work with the FF8, FF9 & 9Z series, only with DSC compatible receivers.

Another advantage is, even with the module in, it won't transmit. Therefore it saves battery power. Very useful for setting up.

Can I use it as the battery jack so I don't have to 'Y' the ninth channel?
