The manual for my VE says to use JR superhorns on the servo's. Whatever horns are used, they need to be exactly 20mm in length from the screw to the connection ball. I use Hitec servo's and the horns are 19mm from screw to the last hole on horn. This makes the control rod not come off at an exact 90 degree angle. I haven't flown the bird yet.
I have had the VE for about a month and want to start off right. So will this make much difference? If so, where should I look for Hitec compatible horns with 20mm.

Thanks,
Rod

I used the 19mm holes and it worked fine for me.
I found the same thing using Hitec horns on my Voyager 50 and Voyager E.
No problems with either.

It looks like the 19's will work I'm just a precision freak:-)
I'm just about to start setting my pitch curves.

Rod,
I had the same dilemma on my Venture. The Venture manual states that you "MUST" use 20 mm holes "OR ELSE". Well, as you may have found, JR is the only company that makes servo arms with a 20 mm hole. Hmm, coincidence?

Anyway, I used the 19 mm hole on my Hitec servos with out any issues at all.

Have fun and fly,
John
