| I did the main gear shim fix my rappy is as good as new!. My rappy started getting sick at the end of the season last year. I took it out a few times this year. I couldn't figure out what was going on if I gave it a hard right on the tail. My rappy would start sputtering (sounded like it was running to rich)and would get the shakes. The only way you could stop it was to land and then it would be fine. I got to checking out my main gear it had about .008" up & down play I wouldn't think that it was enough to mess with anything. Boy was I wrong I put in a head gasket from a .15cv (I had one instock LOL,too many rc toys laying around). So far I have run about 1/2 gallon through it runs like a dream. Now I can advance my flying skills insted of messing with the engine. Today I got to fly 4 tanks doing 100yd figure 8's what a rush. I'm off to a good start on my second season. BTW I read a post today about checking your gyro tape. I checked mine and it was starting to come apart in the center of the foam. Looks like I caught it just in the nick of time. |
