Anyone have the gears from Helihobby that are white and go in the tail box. I think i have the speed up gears and i they dont mesh together. There is a gap between them.

To verify that you have the speed-up gears, count the teeth one should have 16 t and the other has 18.

From the HeliHobby web catalog................
"The CNC machined gears will run extremely true and will not cause vibration like the stock molded gears. Use a pair of 18T gears for direct replacement or one 18T and one 16T tail gears to increase the speed of the tail rotor and maximize tail authority while maintaing the speed of the drive shaft. The gears are made of high quality delrin and so they are very strong and light. No external lubrication is necessary. For best results, use the gears in conjunction with Titanium tail shaft (PART#HH183). Both gears should be installed using the L0261 flanged bearings. If used with the stock CF tail shaft then the shaft may require to be sanded down a bit for easy installation. The gears are a tight fit and so no CA is necessary for secure installation"

Mine mesh perfectly. Do yo have the correct bearings (L0261) installed?

Hornet tail

Well I think so. I used flanged bearings and the titanium tail shaft. Anyway you can shoot a digital picture of your tail box set up? Basically my gears dont even touch. I have about a millimeter of distance between them so i cant get them to mesh. If i slide the gear on the tail shaft over it will meet but i would have to cut the spacer more then it would just slide back and forth in my tail box and wouldn't work either.

Not sure if these pics will help. But, you can go here:

The only thing that comes to mind is that you may have the wrong bearings in the end of your tail boom on the tail gear box end, and the wrong bearings in your tail gear box that supports the tail output shaft. That would make the gear box have to move to far towards the frame in order to mesh the tail gears. If you need close ups of the tail on our Hornet, drop us an e mail and we can get them off to you. We are using the same 16t - 18t speed up tail gears you are using. They mesh well and fly very well.

Th 16T gear is smaller than the stock one so you have to add some washers between it and the case and then cut the tube a bit to get a proper mesh.

Here's a pic:
