has anyone seen the pictures of the Mi24 that was painted like a golden eagle? it looks pretty cool! (aside from the fact that the canopies make it look like it took a few good shots to the head)
There used to be one on http://aircraftresourcecenter.com but it's gone now due to the guy rennovating his site. I remember seeing the pictures of it and the heli was quite striking. Unfortunaely it's going to be a while before he gets his site fully up and running. You may want to try and email him and see if he can send you those pics.
yes , I have a pic of it, although I'd prefer it on a american heli , but it was cool .. I like the details on this mi24 eagle heli .. very artistic , heres one , trying to locate the others ..

here guys this what you looking for .. the eagle has landed .
yep... that the one! i have 2 other shots of it. one flying and the other on the ground. i agree ed, it would probably look better on an american heli...
That doesnt look like an eagle at all.Its just some kinda of brown bird seen in Russia, I guess. Check out that eye, it is so "cartoon look"... Its just can not be an eagle.
hehe lol - you have some nice pics that would look great too , we'll use as a reference point, would better on and american heli .. I have another one you'll like too ..
the youngings don't look like full eagles either.. now if we can come up with some real heli photo imagery using a heli and a eagle scheme that would be nice too ..

Uh..um it's a Golden Eagle
Well...at least thats what I would guess. I don't claim to be an expert on eagle or Russians. Aren't we all friends now anyway......
It is an impressive paint job.
And please no posts about how he was joking...I get that. It's just hard to convey tone of voice with a post.
I just wanted to see if I could figure out how to post a picture.

deja - your pic is as close to the paint scheme as it gets .. thanks for your valued input - your image validates the scheme ,
looks like the pic the russians were similiarly looking at when they came up with the idea .. btw - i work with many russians and they are very good people / friends , we all share military experiences , some were pilots too ..
