I have a friend building a Fury 60 expert, and in looking at the kit I noticed that you can either get one for JR servos or Futaba servos. So my question is what if you wanted to use JR servos for all of the control surfaces except for the tail. In which case you wanted to use say the 401 combo for the tail. So what would be needed to make this happen. Perhaps one would need to order some parts? Which ones? Or is it not possable? Also which JR servos would be best for the CCPM system? Just curiouse!

Thanks in advance.

Brian,

Use the JR servo mounts on the swash plate and leave off the servo mount for the 9253, this will work just fine on the tail if you dont like doing that order a set of Futaba pins Part# 115-73.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. So would it be better to just use all Futaba servos with a JR Rx? Or skip that and do as was described? I am still interested in what JR servos would be best for this applecation. As I don't think I would trust the 8411's. Any suggestions?

Brian,
Bottom line, it's your helicopter. Use what equipment you would like (JR or Futaba types). I would however, use the 9253 servo with the 401 or whichever one that is being packaged up with it. I had problems trying to get optimum performance out of my first 401 using JR servos. I could not get the servo speed/ response correct and this resulted in a bunch of wagging. I finally got a 4750 car servo (could have also used the faster digitals or coreless models) to work acceptably. As David stated, you can get the servo supports for either JR or Futaba and these can be mixed and/ or matched to your satisfaction on your model! You do not have to go totally one way or the other, but would definitely use the supports on the servos, not just leave one off (except, of course, throttle).
I am using good old 4131's on one of my Furys and am as happy with it as one with digitals. I guess most will say that the faster, the better. I think that the more precise and better matched, the better.

It is up to you, enjoy it!
