Tail Help !

I am running 810 Mains on CS .. Engine has finished 2 tanks ..I need your valuable input .

I am hovering at about 1300 RPM 6 degree pitch . Engine seems very smooth with no hickups . I have added some weight (still needs a little more weight in front ) but the tail is not staying put .. It has horizointal shakes (not vibrations though) .Goes like left and right in slow motion .. like a wave ...!!! What should I try next

thanks

Sounds like your motor is running a little rough pulsating the tail. The gyro does not like this.

Joe

Do you think after a couple of runs it might get better ..?

Also, when are you gonna have those Electric starts in stock and would they need additional servo for the micro switch ?

Thanks

Aashu, try leaning up abit on your low speed needle, sounds like a bit rich on the low end.

Ok

I am not too good at Gasser engines. But, In Nitros , low end doesn't relly make a difference at mid stick .. would give it a shot this weekend.

Thanks

Low end is everything in a gas motor.

Electric start

You'll love the electric start. takes about 1 second to start after first startup.

Hi

By any chance do you have a picture of the Electric start ?

I really want to see how the micro switch is hooked up

Thanks

Don't use the micro switch.

I just used the Graupner electronic switch to start and stop. It is just as safe if you check your switch and throttle positions prior to starting, as you would anyway.

Do you use trainer switch to engage or other switch to engage the starter?

I was wondering

I was planning on using the Spring activated Trainer switch to activate the channel which only will function when my throttle is at certain %age .. unless I am really thinking wrong that should work . So no additional servo needed only the micro switch would do the job..

Why not micro switch???

Well, IMHO, putting micro switches between servos and having all of these different safeties is just begging for an in flight malfunction.

Well why would micro switches has to be in between servos.. we are having those new air star frame, all servos are on the side frame not on the servo tray like the old standard version. Thus micro switch would be on the skyfox radio tray. right?

Well, it not so much a "micro switch" as it is a relay that plugs directly into the receiver. It works great! I should have some pictures in my gallery later tonight.
