Gentlemen:

The one-way bearing of my Raptor 60 started to locked yesterday, after the 10th fly. I was fying and noticed the engine started to loose power. I landed the heli and found the one-way bearing locked. Then engine was overheated.

The one-way bearing I have is the new one because it has 3 rows of rollers. When assembling the heli, I removed the grease using alcohol and lubricated it with a special one-way bearing oil. This oil is formulated specifically for one-way bearings.

I don't know why it made the engine overheat because other partners that had their one-way bearings locked didn't have their engines overheated.

Hi there you mite want check with ace i know that the one way bearing in the v-2 upgrade kit that i got was re called for that same thing. Hope this will help.

one way bearing

Heck I have never got a reply from ace on the one way bearing on my 60 rappy ..It froze up to .. I didnt notice it till i was looking it over after flying .. Also I tried to call Ace too. All I got is a message that their answering machine was full of messages and to call back .. I tried that a few more times now and I just gave up.. I think their customer service lousy. I have even emailed them and got no reply..

Just to balance out the responses...

I sent ACE my version 1 bearing after it locked up, and in one week, they sent me a new version 2 bearing, with no other prompting from me. I just stuck the old bearing in a padded envelope with my receipt, and they took care of it.

Not saying this will be everyone's experience, but that was mine. Thanks, Ace...

I think I will do that .. I have already ordered a new one from Heliproz anyway .. I figured that was the only way I would get the updated one, so if they do send me a new one I will have a spare ..

Don't be surprised if the one you get from Heliproz is version one. They are still selling V1 autorotation hubs, because the part wasn't actually recalled...

Ben,

I got my V2 from HeliProz last Dec. (1st to be exact) and it had ALL the V2 upgrades including the new auto one-way bearing.
