Hello all!
I own a security and surveillance company and want to buy a Bergen observer. I figure if i am spending a mint, I should ask advice.

What cameras to use...Digital? Canon rebel? How to trigger them.
What Video camera works best. (I have all the video linking equip that I need.)

Are you guys happy with the observer? Support good etc.?

Any help before I spend a bunch would be appreciated.

Hi,

Could you expand on exactly what you want it for - i.e. do you want to do area search with it to spot crooks or fence breaches etc or are you planning to photograph a scene so you can reccomment where to put security equipment?

Thanks,

Julian

Just bought an Observer too and still waiting for shipment to arrival. Will fill you up after I received and flown my Observer.

Basically, Observer (or any other helis) is just a platform for carrying your camera / video gears into the air. Important thing is the balancing and set-up of your heli. If properly done, Observer (or any other helis) will be good to do the job. Size of the heli also matters a lot as bigger helis (engine size) can carry heavy payload. Lots of folks out there uses nitro powered engine too. Only problem is they need to think of a way to prevent the smoke stream from getting into their pictures / video clips.

Hope I've helped to clear things up.
