| Full Metal RaptorI have the metal grips and metal head for my Raptor. I can attest to the statement that the head is tight as are the grips.
I had a boatload of slop in the original grips, I even changed the grips with a new set of grips (plastic) and it was still sloppy. I had radial and lateral play bigtime in the grips.
When I changed to the metal grips all the play was gone, it was extremely tight and still is very tight after several flights. The metal head is nice too, I just wish I could get an O-Ring upgrade kit on the R30 head like Rick's RC has available for the R60.
I have no flutter, no woof and poof either with the metal upgrades. I would mention that I did change the grips to leading edge control instead of the stock trailing edge design. It flies like a 60 with the 600mm blades. (I have used SAB ad FK600's without any problems.)
I have to believe the metal grips will stop the flutter. If they are going out of track due to the slop in the stock grips the metal ones should cure it.
Personally, I only had one out of track situation with my R30. Since I've converted t to a 46 with metal parts I haven't seen it since.
Also, you want to be sure you have good strong servos on your cyclic,, if they can't hold the loads of the rotorhead you could be inviting those kind of problems which could be induced by swashplate occilation .
