OK, guys the only brand of heli's I've owned in my two years of flying is JR, but, I'm now down to one heli, a Voyager 50.

I need a second heli and I'm looking very hard at the Quick models.

What's your hounest opinion about them?

Would you you buy another one?

How's the company doing, are they going to be around for years to come?

Where do I buy one from?

Are parts readily available?

How's the quality?

Any suggestions would be outstanding, please be honest, I may just get a second Voyager or a Raptor 50v2. But, I do like the way the Quick heli's look and are setup.

Thanks

The Q50 is one of the best value 50 size heli. It flies great and the parts are also reasonably priced. However...know what you're getting into. In the US, HHI is not exact everybody's favorite store. It appeared there are more people hating HHI than liking it in RR. It is mainly because of the owner...i.e. not exactly a customer service award winner. Heli is one thing, perception/attitude is another. Good luck.

WOW

This is very discouraging, I really like what I see when I look at the Quick fifty, but it seems they have a hard time with their PR. I just don't know, I can't see how they can stay in business while keeping so many peopel POed.

Hmmmmm

He hath named the "name" that shall not be named. Lightening, thunder!

Scene: the ground opens up and swallows the entire computer housing the Runryder software and archive. Helis falling helplessly from the sky-except Nexus 30's which suddenly become 3d monsters.

Seriously,

I got a good closeup look at a Quick 60 two weeks agao and was quite impressed. Lots of shiny blue parts. For the money its hard to beat - if all the parts fit. I have heard mixed comments on service and CNC quality of the parts but have no 1st hand experience. It did look nice on the tarmac. Unfortunately it had a bent blade grip arm and wasnt flown that day.

Great heli

What's your hounest opinion about them? Well I have a Q50 and i think its great its a bit on the heavy side but a good pipe and motor takes care of that.

Would you you buy another one? Yes I would and am thinking of doing just that.

How's the company doing, are they going to be around for years to come? I dont no how the company is doing but lets hope thay are around for a few more years yet.

Where do I buy one from? I live in New Zealand so I did not shop at HHI but dont let what a few people say about (One Man) put you of getting one.

Are parts readily available? Yes all the parts are available and some of the parts from the 30 and 60 fit on the 50 so I dont think parts will in short supply.

How's the quality? Well in my case the quality of all the parts was very high.It all went together very well no bits were missing from the kit.

Well thats my 2 cents worth over all the Q50 is a very stable heli the pitch range is good and the cyclic response is very direct.

Hope this helps.

I Agree

I agree with sst-condor... There always seems to be a few guys circling around looking for a way to heat up the conversation about Irwin. I have no problems with the guys at HHI and I would not let that keep you from buying a very nice heli. For the guys stirring the pot, I would be interested in your opinion of the helicopter??

I have two and like the heli a lot. It flys very smooth and with a good engine, 3Ds out the wazoo!

One of the better autos I have done were in the 50.

OK, OK, I'm going to try a Q50.

I believe I've made a deal to purchase a Quick 50 pro from Nige, here off runryder. Hopefully it all goes well and I'll have a good report for you all in the immediate future. Thanks very much for all your comments. I'm still reading them.
