What is the difference between standard symetrical nhp blades, and the new razor pro blades, I cant seem to find a answer to this in any of their advertising?, Do they fly differently?., Thanks in advance!

Razor blades

A far as I can make out the only difference is ther tips, normal NHP's are cut off flat, the razors are swept tips.

I think they fly smoother but that might be my brain telling me so.

They are my favourite blades !! Unfortunatley they dont make 600's yet but when they do I'll get some.

From what I have *heard*, a different airfoil and better auto'ing
capability.

The one person I know who flys them likes them better than the
original NHPs.

RAZOR BLAdES

Razors are different because they have a tapered airfoil. they are still symmetrical but the airfoil is thicker toward the grip and taper to a slimmer airfoil toward the tip. What that does is it allows the blade to fly on a much larger area. On a standard blade it has more lift toward the tip because of the airspeed. on the tapered ones it has a broader area with similar lift being more stable because the base has more lift than the tip but the tip moves faster through the air creating similar lift throughout. Miniature Aircraft is releasing some double tapered blades anyday now which are also tapered in cord width and are 10 times more stiff than the NHP's.

If the M/A blades are 10 times more stiff then the NHP Razors you might need to put Cherry Jello in the head block for dampening...BTW the NHP blades are constant chord and constant foil, they are a different (thinner) section however. They are wonder ful blades. Chris

600mm Razors

Lee

The 600mm razors will be out some time next month. I know the guys from NHP and have seen the prototype version. I am waiting for the release so I can get rid of the thunder tiger wooden blades.

RAZORS

Maxx stiff blades don't affect head dampening much but they sure affect how they respond to inputs because they do not twist under load like the softer ones such as NHPs do. Blades can do their job better if the tip does what it is told not just the base. Also Razors are tapered down the airfoil if you look closly you will see that they get thinner toward the tip.
