Beginners Corner > first shuttle flight......ouch! where to get parts?

Location:

hello, i'm very new to helicoptors. i bought a while back a shuttle ZXX and another wrecked Zxx from a guy, i have an arcomax heading hold gyro, and i recently bought a futaba 6xhs . after months of late nights and long hours of practice on the simulator i went out and started it. i brought it up to a very low hover, i wasnt doing to badly. once i got it trimmed out, i could hold a pretty steady hover. i was very impressed with how it flew. i had burned almost an entire tank of fuel when a gust of wind (coming from a very calm day) hit it- and spun it slightly- i tried to correct- but the controls were reversed (it was facing me) and i was almost completly sideways- i dropped the throttle just before the heli hit the grass (from maybe 2 or 3 feet). it was quite a day!, now i have some questions on where to get parts for it. the tailrotor never touched the ground and left the wreck un harmed- i bent the mainshaft, bent the stabiliser bar, one of the blade holders, and i tore up the stabilizer control arm and seesaw. other than that nothing is damaged or broken- i feel pretty lucky it held up that well. i have looked at Ricks rc helicopters and couldnt seem to find much that i needed, stabilizer control arm and a few other peices- is there another place that has an entire stock of shuttle parts i missed? i have found this site very helpful so far. i'm sorry this post is so long and probably hard to read! any help appreciated! Ricks has quite a lot of parts. If you have the part numbers then finding the parts shouldn't be hard. If they aren't listed on the website give them a call. They are very helpful and will bend over backwards to help you out, they are a great bunch. Happy Hunting

Trick to finding parts at ricks

Ricks has all the ZXX parts you could want! The trick is say you have a Hirobo part # that is 04024-507, when you search Ricks modify the part number to read like this 402507 then search.

He also sells a Shuttle Crash kit that saves you some bucks too. It's part number is 1402550

Hope this helps,
