I would go with the Intrepid.I have had one for the last 4 yrs and really like the bird and how it flys, and I really like the service you get from Larry and Chris.I like to be able to call the factory and talk to Larry not some hired sec. that knows nothing about a heli . Nice bird and service are number one in my book.
You also can get Larry to turn you special parts if you push the right buttons ,for that special project.

Secretary

Careful Larry,

We do have a hired secretary, and if she finds out what you said, There'll be Troouble!!!

If just placing an order, and you know part numbers, then certainly talk with Dianna.

For technical help, or if you just need a little nudge to go ahead and make the purchase, ask for my Father, Larry Bergen.

Eagle 2 gasser?

I have a eagle 2 gasser with a hatori tuned pipe and sab 680 baldes and the heli is very stable. The only thing is the crash cost is pretty expensive. Parts are readily avalible from www.modelrec.com (Jeff Green) The Tanaka engine is a Great engine very relible easy to tune with the opitional Hatori tuned pipe. It does need a few mods done but that is VERY easy to do. The G23-26's are also relible in the other heli's also. All Gasser heli's fly like heavy pigs. If this is your first heli then this is not for you but if it isn't I would recomend it. I like mine. It will do 3-D but slower that a nitro heli. All gassers will 3D but very slow not like a nitro bird fast flips and aerobatics. I posted a pic in this post of mine but if it doesn't show up look at my gallery. Don't let your pocket book make the decision for you this is a great heli made VERY well, but costly.

Good Luck,
Brian M.

The Bergen Gasser is without compromise and probably the best performer out there-I am wearing asbestos today!. As previously stated, you won't find better service than Chris, Larry, Malorie, (rep) and the new hire ( I can't remember her name). I love those guys as they always have a few new tweaks/tricks for my bird every time I call. I currently own both Hirobo(glow) and Bergen Helis. However, I have not seen the Hirobo Gasser and can't comment in comparision.

I also have to say Jeff Green of MRC /Hirobo has been nothing but help for the few times I have needed it. Look at both kits and decide what you like in each. If you show up at a FunFly where Malorie is flying, odds are she'll let you take it for a spin. Tough Decision. oh yeh that "hired secretary" is learning fast and it seems a few administrative improvements have been prompted since her arrival

You won't regret it once you see the kit quality and design. Taking one to the field is like putting on your Sunday best! No I am not a rep, but if I were to pursue it, no doubt it would be for the Bergen line!
