Hi,
Where's a good on-line store to buy upgrades for the Freya (besides Rick's and Heliproz)? Does anyone recommend any of them?

Thanks,
Tom

I recommend Rick's.

He has a full inventory of parts (some of the other online
stores carry just a limited subset of the basic crash parts)
for Freyas and Eagles.

Which upgrades? do a search (it has been asked many times).

Vertical fin (use the MinAir CF Vfin)
EX radius block and hub (not the arms)
3rd bearing block

Thanks for the info.

I don't know what upgrades. That's why I asked what people recommend. I'm new to the Freya and I'm not sure what parts are compatable between Hirobo machines. It's not that I NEED any upgrades for it, I've been told several times that the Freya fly's great stock but just in case I get up-grade fever someday.

Regards,
Tom

right, and what I'm saying is that if you do a search on 'freya' and 'upgrade', you'll see other threads that talk about the
pros and cons of various upgrades.

The Freya really doesn't need much. Other than the
V fin, the other stuff is optional.

upgrades for Freya

The third bearing block is the only upgrade you need. The only other option I am looking at is the YS-80 or OS-91. The rest is for show. I can't see that far either.

You really don't need the 3rd bearing block either.

When parts start to wear out then you might want to consider upgrades. For instance the washout hub and swash are good upgrades after the original wear out.

The 3rd Bearing is good if you are tearing the sky up and 3ding the crap out of the Freya. Also there are several suggested gear ratios for different engines.

Biggest things are some minor modifications that need to be done. Simple little things that Hirobo has mentioned in the adendum instructions.

Yes, please use the search feature of RunRyders to get as much information as you can. Also Yahoo Groups has an EagleHirobo group. There you can get even more information.

Out of the box, I hate the stock vertical fin. It folds easily, causing tail blade damage. I use the Miniature Aircraft CF vertical fin. It fits exactly and I've been using the same tail blades for the past 5 months since I installed it.
