actually

The push rods that are attached to the front two servos need to be slightly longer than the rear one. Reason being is to make up for the difference in distance as they are on an angle.

Turn on your radio and center collective at half stick. Level swatchplate. Then make sure all servo arms are at 90deg and attach the rear arm. Then lattach the front two control rods to the servo output arms and make the slight length adjustment to make up for the angle.

Hope this helps.

Scott

Barry, I never owned one JR so didn't realize there were different placement on the JR rx.. so You and Joe is right on that. variocanada site shown is for futaba rx.. A swashplate Jig would definitely helps to level the swash as well. thanks scott.

That is why I like this site so much. It is because of the people like you and Joe and Scott who are willing to spend the time to educate a dummy like me. You guys and gals have been great, Thanks.
I never seen a Futaba receiver so I didn't know they are different but I know now.

Thanks again

2, 3, and 6 is correct. The proper placement is this, on the exhaust side of the heli, the servo which controls the right front of the swash is your collective servo. The servo up front on the left side is plugged into aileron, and the one in the back is elevator. Get all the servos going the correct way for collective inputs first, by using the servo reverse function in the radio. After that, if you have an input which is backwards, ie, left or right aileron or elevator, then you go to the swash menu and reverse the percentage. JR default is +60 percent, so if one of the functions is wrong, hit the - key to bring it down to -60, and the function will work properly.
