| Hi Guys
I found this post on the Ace foum and thought it best to share the tragic news as a reminder to us all.
Shocking and it's just a reminder how dangerous these machinhes can be if not treated with a lot of respect and caution.
Here goes, take care

Just heard on Tuesday this week of an accident at one of our flying site that makes you think.
Though it did'nt involve a Raptor. I believe the model concerned was a Bergen. But whilst displaying his model to a prospective buyer for some reason as the model was relatively close during landing (20feet) control was lost and the heli struck both the pilot and the bystander. The pilot lost a hand and most of the fingers from the other hand, the bystander lost the top of his thumb.
It just shows how a moments error and a genuine accident can be disasterous, we all enjoy our hobby and get into heated arguments over it but it put things into perspective when something like this happens.
The guy will prob never fly a heli or any other model again, the other guy will be fine but mentally scarred.
This IS a dangerous hobby, PLEASE be carefull.
I did fly quite close to myself, 10-20feet whilst hovering etc, not any more. Whilst landing I would land close to myself, not any more.
I am an experienced flyer but this has really made me think!
