I have an OS .46 with the old stile carb. I"ve tried doing the dill the hole mod. but it still doesn't run all that great. My question is, to convert to the
newer stile carb. do I need to replace the hole carb. or can I just change some of the parts? Body and barrel for example.

Check RonLund.com. He sells the new carb body. I think it is in the new products category.

Is the new carb marked "40C" ?? Or is that the old one? Or is there a mod to the 40C ?

I believe both are 40c. However, the newer one has a small number 2 stamped on it.

If you will check RonLund's site, I think it has that on there. Also, you can call Ron.

Better yet, you could give Great Planks a call. Their tech division can give you the exact description.

I would strongly recommend you have the proper carb on the engine or it is a bear to get running right. If not impossible.

Good Luck!
