I have Dave Brown 2001 also. I got the original version which looked like a kids cartoon several years ago as a gift from somebody. So I figured I would just upgrade it to the new version. It's OK. I dont see anything wrong with it but I never used any other. Lets just say you can learn to fly with it.

Have you guys used any of the free sims out there (Pre-Flight and FMS)? If so, have you also used (bought or made) the interface?

Pre-Flight and FMS are quite similar and will both work with the G2 controler. IMHP both are lacking

Seeing as the question was asked... yeah I built my own interface for FMS. It's a great way to prove to yourself that any sim is worth the investment. I will purchase G2 at some stage because my experiences with even the simple FMS have been so positive.

I made the interface on simple prototype board. 8 resisitors, 3 transistors and a capacitor. It was a modified circuit for most JR TXs.

The only real problem I had was that by the time I finished the interface a new version of FMS came out and it needed to be set up differently in the program. I thought my circuit was wrong but it was fine.
