The Voyager E would be considered a 540 sized heli or close to a .15 sized gas heli. I think to date there is only one .15 gas heli made. There used to be a .15 sized Concept that was nearly identical to the Concept EP.

Dont forget about the Hirobo MH-10... It too was a 15 size heli and it offered a BK-117 body as well. -Steve

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that one. Must not have been many of them around when they were made.... Not too sure I ever actually saw one.

Thanks Steve

You left out the Eolo, Eco-8, and the Joker. So, your list would then be...

Voyager E--- 0.15
Eolo --- Between Voyager and Eco-8
Eco-8 --- Bit larger than Voyager
Lgo 10 ----- just under 30
Lgo 16 ----- 30 size
Logo 20 -----50 size
Logo 24 Bionic ---- between 50 and 60
Joker ----- 60 size

> what is the best electric for the money?

Good question. Totally depends on what level of money you want to spend and what you want to do with the heli. Certainly the "best" on the list above is the Joker. But, if you just want to get an electric heli in the air really cheap than that would be the one of the first three.

There is a huge difference between the Eco-8 and the next step of the Logo 10. The Logo 10 is just so much more sturdy and "real".

Have fun,
John

i have a eco 8 now and am looking at either a rappy 30 conversion or a logo but i have a extra rappy 30 already but not sure on the right setup for this i dont want to buy the wrong motor and speed control just to find out there is a better one, i seem to thing the logo is the best one but i would have to buy all from scratch

what do you think about a rappy conversion?

what is the best electric for the money?

I have a Vario Silence (60 size) a Voyager E (just sets on the shelf) An eRaptor (50 size conversion) and an EOLO (brushless setup)
I'm with Mckoi ..... GO EOLO ..... easy to build, flies great for a small heli, (even in wind) Good parts availability, service and advice from Mckoi - RCHover.com .
IMO beginner or advanced will not be disappointed.

Don't forget about Graupner! And they make fully-engineered scale electric kits when you decide to go scale. Their pod and boom Uni-Elektro is based on the Uni-2000 mechanics. I just completed a Jet Ranger which flies on 30 cells. What an excellently smooth machine. My first flight video doesn't do the heli justice...the curves were not tweaked, and it was a windy day. Now that i've gotten it smoothed out, i'll be shooting new video today. FWIW, the jet ranger fuse and uni mechanics are designed to run .61-.91 glow engines, and Graupner engineered this electric conversion smoothly and seamlessly. "Modular" is a word that comes to mind. Find out more details at http://www.v-eastonline.com/grapElec.html . They also have a ".40" size.

Voyager E--- 0.15
Eolo --- Between Voyager and Eco-8
Eco-8 --- Bit larger than Voyager
Lgo 10 ----- just under 30
Lgo 16 ----- 30 size
Logo 20 -----50 size
Logo 24 Bionic ---- between 50 and 60
Graupner Uni-Elektro, 40 and 60 size
Joker ----- 60 size

Here's a photo of mine, and the link to more photos is Greg's Heli Gallery . The album you're looking for is third from the left, titled "TH-67 project".

These are the mechanics. The only things missing in the photo are the two 15 cell packs (one for each side of the frames). The rx is mounted to a small shelf behind the mechs, but could otherwise be attached anywhere on the mechs set. I chose to move it to the back:

Here are the mechs mounted:

And a shot of the pod and boom configuration:

Adding another one to the list.

The Quickie EP although a 21 size heli, is a bit heavier than the stock Eco and close to a Logo 10. The reason for that is all of the metal that ehy put on the heli. By the time you doall of the Eco metal upgrades, it is pretty close to the Quickie EP in weight. In fact, I am running Eco 8 blades on my Quickie EP right now, love it.

Voyager E--- 0.15
Eolo --- Between Voyager and Eco-8
Eco-8 --- Bit larger than Voyager
Quickie EP -- Same size as the Eco 8 but a little heavier
Lgo 10 ----- just under 30
Lgo 16 ----- 30 size
Logo 20 -----50 size
Logo 24 Bionic ---- between 50 and 60
Joker ----- 60 size

As a Voyager E owner, I hate to see it sold short...

The Voyager E is significantly larger than the EOLO. The EOLO is about the same size as the Corona and the Quickie EP is about the same size as the Voyager E.
