There will be a Helicopter Fun Fly in the Denver Colorado area, on May 18th, 2002.

Landing fee is only $10. It should be a fun day of flying, with prizes and several events, for beginners and experts.

Why only one day??

The sponsoring club, the Jefco Aermodlers, gave us one day to have the event, May 18th, until 4pm. Since we (Colorado Rotor Heads helicopter club) don't have a field of our own, we were lucky to have the predominantly airplane oriented club let us take over the field for a day to have our event.

Correct me if I am off on the numbers Eric. I think there were around 35 flyers at last years fun fly. I am guessing that this year the number will double. This is a nice field and close to the city.

May 18th fun fly

Hello-

The Colorado Rotor Heads / Jefco Aeromodlers Helicopter Fun Fly is Saturday, May 18th, 2002. It will be held at Chatfield reservoir rc flying field. Landing fee is $10. Registration begins at 8:30 AM, with helicopter flying exclusively until 4 PM. There will be a pilot raffle, with many great prizes! Several exciting events are planned (bottle knock-over, autorotation contest, limbo, drag racing, and scale contest) as well as open flying. Please plan to attend. You must be an AMA member to fly at this event. If you're not an AMA member, or not ready to fly with the group, please come to watch and learn more from other enthusiasts about model helicopters. Bring your helicopter and let us help you set it up if you need assistance! If you know anyone else who would be interested in attending, please inform them!

Basic directions to Chatfield reservoir... Take C-470 to the Wadsworth exit. Take Wadsworth South about a mile to the Park entrance (left). Follow the park map to the field.
