| Triton software updateI agree. The Triton needs a software update for the reason you mentioned, and for other issues also. If they would allow LiPo's to be charged at up to 5 amps, and allow us to charge up to 6 LiPo cells in series, they might corner the market on chargers. I see no reason, other than short sightedness on the original programmers part, that would not allow this to be done. After all, it will charge up to 24 NiCd cells which is around 28 volts. Divide the fully charged LiPo cell voltage of 4.2 volts into 28 and you get over 6 cells. They allow other packs to be charged at 5 amps, but limit LiPo to 2.5. IMHO, this is just not good enough. I have messaged Great Planes about my feelings. It might help if others would do the same. The only email I could find for them was at their aircraft feedback page. If you feel so inclined, give it a try.
