OK guys, I was going thru the manual and on Page 19 section 13 they mention the mixing actions 1) high mobility 2) inbetween and 3) high stability. What do most of you like of those.

Also, I'm going to use a YS 61 ST2, What gearing will make this motor happy. 93/12 or stock 95/11?
I'll be using a Hatori (SAB-1,10,9 II YS)one piece pipe and 15% CP.

Thanks all

Hi Nolan, when I put my Freya together, I did the set up for high mobilty. But it all depends on what your flying style is. I wood thnk if you do it rght the machine will be stable anyway, rght? So who needs that. As far as your ? bout the gearing I am running a os 61 and just went with the stock set up. The machine runs just fine thatway for me anyway. Hope this helped.

I say put it on the middle one unless your either a stick banger or a beginner... and take the brass weights out of the paddles... make sure you put a drop of ca on teh washout base so it won't rotate on teh shaft, whashers on the boom support ends so you can snug them down real well... check frame bolts after first few flights, they will loosen, but once things settle, they'll stay tight forever...

I doubt your heli came with an 11 tooth pinion did it?? I believe it comes stock with 10/95,,,, however I know the newer kits may conatain both a 10 and 12. Todd Bennett used the 10/93 if memory serves...

add fuel have fun!

Thanks for the replys fellas.
I bet your right on the pinion gear DrScoles, as I haven't broke into the plastic bags yet. I'll be sure to do the follow up checks and the washout base tip.
My kit is the one that came with the V Blades included so I'd guess it's one of the newer ones. I was thinking of going with position 2 as I'm just starting to get into loops, and rolls regularly. Autos are a blast!!!

A source of slop

The mixing arms on the head (not the mixing base) are a source of slop. The slop generates from the bearing.....there is a sleave and a bearing that come together and go into the mixing arm. Trust me on this one......take a drop or two of Loctite and loctite the sleave and bearing together, this will take all play out of this mechanism.

Check the belt tension after about 10 flights and definetly check the frame bolts...they will be loose.

As for the radius block... you have to get that sucker tight so it won't rotate. Once you have it where you want it tighten the two bolts down pretty tight, but don't super torque them. Let it sit overnight and then supertorque them. Let them sit again and do the same.... by now the plastic is done streching and it should stay tight for a lifetime. Or you could buy the EX radius block and washout base.

The Freya is pretty new to me, but I have learned a few tricks.
