Main Discussion > WHAT is going on with RCO?

First of all, RunRyder is the first forum I check almost daily. When I started with helis 2 years ago I religiously went to RCO to learn all that I could. It was absolutely essential to me. Today I visited RCO and it took me 3 minutes to get to the forums. Then I waited and waited and finally gave up! I realize I have a dial up modem but NO other site I know of takes so long. I'm not trying to bash RCO, I do really miss it and owe a lot to it but WHAT is the problem there? Are they deliberately trying to keep people away? Do you have to have a T1 or cable modem to access it? I hope they recognize this problem and take steps to correct it. There, I feel better now.

RCO?

I used to be a regular there too, after sending money hoping to help out, after registering about 5 different times I had enough.
Seeing nothing but brain dead immature mutants fighting and arguing over nothing and anything all the while replying to useless posts; add the stupid waiting times--who cares what's going on at RCO, I haven't even thought of RCO for months. A good thing gone bad. Rest in pieces.
Go ahead, ask me how I REALLY feel about RCO.

Now here we are at the extreme other end of the scale--and I like it! I'm staying here, this is the best place on the PLANET, anyone who disagrees with that can just KISS MY.........Sister, if I had one.

RCO???????

Don't go blaming your modems cuz I'm on a wireless link and it still takes 3 mins., 1 flt with the gasser, 5min walk with the dog, or 35 mins. explaining to the women why I even bother to try and view that site!!!!! So she won and I don't even go there anymore!!!!

RC-Online was a "GREAT" site and if most of us would admit it, we started there. However, recently they have had major problems with there web site. I wish it were still fast, I would still visit it regularly.

In the beggining that was my site as well. Since them it has become a crap shoot. Getting on there is like watching paint dry. So I just stay here. Love it.

I agree RCO is POOPOO/DOODOO!

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Getting anything off the RCO server is like trying to suck a watermellon through a key hole.

I would have to agree, Runryder is the place to be.

Has everyone pretty much left RCO, or are the Plankers still over there arguing?

Sometimes they make for some fun reading.

I hate to talk bad about anyone or anything, but I quit RCO because of the advertising(too much!),and mostly cause the server is waaaaayyy too slow...(I've got cable access at 512kbps, so what gives???)

I don't go to RCO!!

Last time I tried to connect to RCO, I sat and waited (1250-2MB connection) for an eternity!!

It is sad to see a nice site turn for the worse. Let's not let RunRyder succumb to the same demise. IMO, this site has the best and most user friendly format to be seen. Who else gives you a place to "Put a face to the name" gallery?

Thanks Mark! I really enjoy your site.

Hmmmmmm......... let's see;

1. that annoying monkey

2. continuous virus infection warnings

3. political B.S.

4. having to re-register user names at leat 5 times in the past 1 1/2 years

5. very minimal activity

6. and oh, and did I mention it's SLOW!!!!!!!!
(and I have a T1/T2 access here at work which is no faster than my dial up 56K at home)

At one time RCO was a good site. I used to tell everyone to go there but I don't even try to go there any more. RunRyder is the first forum of choice followed by RCUniverse and then the newgroups.

I don't know why, but that sight makes my DSL perform like a 14.4 modem. Never seen another sight that slow.

Last time I went to RCO there was activity of 3 to 5 posts a day. (Heli discussion)

I used to regularly visit the heli for sale forum. At one time that was my favorite place to get a good deal. It appears that is dying too.

RCO was fun while it lasted. I, too, am glad for runryder..... let the good times roll!

BTW: gixxer did you go to Daytona. There was about 25 gsxr's chasing a honda. Man was that enjoyable.... Too bad they couldn't catch him. The RC51's still rock.
