Beginners Corner > Stripped set screw on paddle

Yet another impatient question. I want to go fly this puppy but when adjusting the paddles for parallel i stripped one of the paddle set screws on my raptor. With a lot of force i still turned the paddle by hand. everything seems parallel now, but is this something i should not fly? or will it be ok. Again it takes a lot of force to turn the paddle.

Think about buying new paddles, they're not very expensive. Be sure to stick with the same heavy ones for now. I'd tend to agree with you though, those paddles have a death-grip on the flybar even without the set screw. The set screw probably becomes more valuable after you've had to remove or replace the flybar rod several times and the plastic in the paddle starts getting stretched to fit the threads better. Just keep an eye them for now, I doubt very much they will move anytime before you manage to bend/pretzel your flybar rod, and just replace them then.
