I am looking for a:
Tail drive rod ( the carbon rod that drives the tail rotor from the main
gear)

CP tail pitch slider ( the bit that the long servo linkage rod connects too
via the little lever, that slides back and forth along the tail output shaft
housing a small bearing. Must be the collective pitch type)

The main pinion gear (the one that sits on the end of the motor output
shaft)

Tail gear drive shell (the plastic bit that sits at the end of the boom that
the tail gears and the tail shaft are mounted too)

Anything else considered WHY ?

Thanks.

for what it's worth, you'll never break a tail gearbox.

A spare boom, a few landing gear legs, and main gear are also good to keep around, they break regularly.

Hi Dave.
What has happend is that the guy I baught the heli from didn't build the tail assembly correctly and the bearing that is housed at the end of the boom and seats itself in the gearbox has been turning in its housing and melted the gearbox plastic.

Wow. i never would have considered that, I stand corrected.

Oh, while you're ordering spares, a couple of the conical pinions (the ones that drive the tail rotor driveshaft from the main gear) are good to have, too.

Good luck, and also, lots of info is to be had at www.hornet-heli.com (that's the premier hornet BBS).
