I received my new radio today (Airtronics RD6000 super). The batteries was partially charged, however, when I turned the radio on it was at 11.0 volts. I double checked the battery and it was marked 9.6v. The bar graph at the top still had one mark to go (six total) to reach full. Is this something I need to contact Airtronics for repair? This is my first computer radio and never heard about this problem. Thankx for any help.

What you see is normal. The voltage will go down as the battery discharges.
The instructions should say what the lowest voltage that's safe for flying is.
It will probably be around 8.8 V.

OK...

As phil said, it is fine.

The voltage of the pack is not always 9.6 volts - that is a sort of "average." The voltage vs. time graph of the battery would start up high, like 11.2; drop off down to approx 9.6; then drop lower...

Thanks guys. That makes me feel better. I did charge everything to full and they work great.
