Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > 3DNT nose heavy

Finished building but noted that it is nose heave.
Webra91 with recommended 1700ma battery and no horizontal tail fin (Will not put on - for fast backwards flight). This with no fuel – tank sits in front so it will become worse with fuel. Any comments?

I must say that compared to a JR manual the building was a pain.
JR – a lot of pictures
NT – a lot of wording
If I have to build a second one it will be a breeze but I had to read the same sentence a few times before understanding – YES YES my IQ is not the highest.

That will be the case with the building process. After you have had an opportunity to fly the 3D NT you will forget the fact they did not include a bunch of pictures to help you along with the assembly. You have to remember that Henseleit is a small business with only a few employees. JR probably had more people writing the instructions than Jan has in the entire company - I think it is primarily he and his son who machine all of the parts, and they do an excellent job of that, so we must forgive them for not spending a lot of time on pictures.

I found the fold out prints to be a lot of help.

Your 3DNT may not be nose heavy, even though at first look that does appear to be the case. The foreward rake of the machine throws you off. This happened to me. I talked to Hanseleit, and he told me to grab the heli by the mainshaft, and then hold the heli on its side, suspended by themainshaft. Then you can see if the heli pivots foreward of backward on the main shaft, while held on its side. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Point taken. I hope you are right about the flying capability of the 3DNT - that is why I bought it - everyone said so.
