I do know that pulling the starter cord while the ignition is turned on and a spark plug removed is V V bad,
The spark enegy cannot get to ground / earth /usual circuit so shortest path is to short internally in the coil inducing a v v high voltage in the primary to race around causing carnage.
Potentially breaking down and tracking to cause a weak point for a later intermittent fault in the coil's internal insulation.
A Safer way is to run a wire or scerwdriver from the spark plug cap to ground / a metal part on the engine, this way the spak can travel through this wire causing no harm or potential electric shock to the internal wrist area .
Could you use like the old servo driven resistor type speed control for toy cars to join the wire to ground driven by a plastic linkage via the throttle servo or a seperate servo, this would provide isolation without any connection to the radio acording to futaba gasser faq12-14" from anything.
