Gasser Model RC Helicopters > Gasser Question

I had a .60 glow power heli that I sold because I hate to wipe off the glow fuel residue splattering of the entire heli after flying it. Now is this problem less likely to happen on a gasoline/mix heli due to the lesser fume production of the gasoline/mix motor? Or will it be the same?

Much less residue; but they do get a bit messy after a bit.

The glow helis are kind of self-oiling; you'll need to oil a gasser a bit more.

I've been flying my x-cell gasser for a few weeks now, almost every day. It just gets dusty. No oil or fuel residue to speak of! I have the upgrade muffler which exhausts down between the boom supports. My raptor exhaust at about the same place but it is an oily mess after one flight. My first flights where with the stock muffler which exhausts right on the skid. Since I was running rich, there was a black carbon deposit there that was easy to wipe off. I am running 64:1 camp fuel/amsoil. Not much oil to spread around And dirt cheap to fly too!

As long as you seal the tank up properly and place the vent line where it doesn't dump on the heli through aerobatics, you will only have to clean the bugs off the blades once in a while. Of course you could leave them on for more parasite drag.

Life's a journey, NOT a destination.

I will confirm,

I only need to clean the bugs from my blades and a bit of green grass stains from my tail blades.

Why is it that the bugs always seem to be attracted to the main rotor blades?
